Privacy Policy

This privacy statement pertains to the method of data collection, data storage, data security and the retrieval and use of that data we collect about our members and enrollees. This privacy statement also pertains to the guardian and/or caregiver of an enrollee of our program.

Collection, Retention, and Use of Member Information

MPAR collects, retains, and uses information about a member's child or other enrollee for the express purpose of recovery of that child or enrollee. In the event an enrolled child or other enrollee has been reported missing/abducted to a law enforcement agency, vital information needed to recover the child/enrollee will be released to the investigating law enforcement agency.

Collection of Information from Children Under 13

In accordance with the Child Online Protection Act (COPA), MPAR does not permit children under 13 years of age to submit personal information to us online without a parent's permission, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13, unless said permission exists.

Release of Member Identification Number

In the event that a member has been reported missing/abducted, the organization/individual providing care for that member will have the authority to release that member's identification number to the appropriate law enforcement agency to attempt recovery. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. However, FERPA allows schools to disclose those records, without consent, to “appropriate officials in cases of health and safety emergencies” (34 CFR § 99.31).

Maintenance of Accurate Information

MPAR has established procedures to ensure that the personal information you submit will remain accurate and secure. It is the member's responsibility to update your personal information or your child's information or other enrollee's information when changes occur. You will receive notification via email or US mail upon any modification to your information, your child's information or other enrollee's information.

Limiting Employee Access to Information

MPAR limits employee access to personally identifiable parent, child, and other enrollee's information to those employees with a valid business reason for knowing such information. We train our employees on the importance of confidentiality and privacy and require each of our employees to comply with this policy, our procedures, and our standards of conduct.

Opt-Out Consent

In accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act of 1998, we provide the opportunity to you to opt-out of the usage of certain types of your information or your child's information or other enrollee's information. Any time you wish your personal data be removed from our records you may do so by contacting us.
